The Memphis Hustle lost the final game of a three-game road trip 113-111 against the Iowa Wolves Friday at Wells Fargo Arena. Iowa closed the game on a 7-0 run after the Hustle led 111-106 with 2:12 remaining.
Trahson Burrell (23 points, 11 rebounds) led the Hustle with his fourth double-double of the season. The rest of the Memphis starting lineup reached double figures as well.Marquis Teague posted 18 points to go with six assists and averaged 23.0 points per game for the road trip. Omari Johnson (13 points, nine rebounds) fell just shy of a double-double while Durand Scott recorded 16 points and eight rebounds. Chance Comanche (12 points) scored in double digits for the second straight game.
Iowa also had all five starters score in double figures, led by two-way player Anthony Brown’s 24 points (9-14 FG) and eight rebounds. Amile Jefferson (20 points, 12 rebounds) recorded a double-double and shot 8-of-10 from the field. Perry Jones III (16 points, 6-9 FG), Melo Trimble (14 points) and Elijah Millsap (11 points) also reached double figure scoring.
The Hustle return home to face off against the Austin Spurs on Friday, December 22 at 7 p.m. at Landers Center. All fans dressed as their favorite holiday-themed character will receive free entry.
