Hustle trade Tanner McGrew to Salt Lake City Stars for 2019 Fourth Round Draft Pick

The Memphis Hustle, the Grizzlies’ NBA G League affiliate, today acquired Justin Tillman via waiver claim. In a related move, the team traded Tanner McGrew to the Salt Lake City Stars for a 2019 fourth round draft pick.

Tillman (6-8, 220) has appeared in 11 games (11 starts) for Wonju Dongbu Promy of the South Korean KBL this season, averaging 25.5 points and 11.7 rebounds in 30.4 minutes per game. The Detroit native spent four seasons at Virginia Commonwealth University (2014-18), where he was named to the Atlantic 10 All-First Team and All-Defensive Team as a senior and nearly averaged a double-double (18.9 ppg, 9.9 rpg) for the Rams.

McGrew (6-8, 250) appeared in 25 games for the Hustle, averaging 5.0 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 13.6 minutes per game.
