Memphis Hustle acquires rights to Kyle Casey and a fourth round draft pick from Wisconsin Herd

Team Trades Returning Rights to Jeremy Morgan and a Fourth Round Draft Pick.

The Memphis Hustle today announced that the organization has completed a trade with the Wisconsin Herd, acquiring the returning player rights to forward Kyle Casey and a fourth round pick (95th overall) in the 2018 NBA G League Draft. In exchange, Wisconsin will receive the returning player rights to guard Jeremy Morgan and a fourth round pick (87th overall) in this year’s draft.

Casey (6-7, 225), appeared in 47 games (38 starts) for the Wisconsin Herd during the 2017-18 season, averaging 8.0 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 24.1 minutes per game while shooting 44.5 percent from the field, 36.1 percent from three-point range and 86.4 percent from the free throw line. The Harvard alum has additionally spent time in the Slovenian SKL League with Helios Domzale. While at Harvard, Casey was named to the 2012 All-Ivy First Team.

Morgan (6-5, 192) spent his rookie pro season with the Memphis Hustle in 2017-18, appearing in 32 games (23 starts) and averaging 7.8 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.03 steal in 24.9 minutes per game and spent time with the Memphis Grizzlies at 2017 NBA Summer League and last season’s training camp.
