The Memphis Hustle was presented as Corporate Business of the Year at the Southaven Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Luncheon Wednesday. Nominations for the award, amongst others, were open to the business community of the chamber who then voted for the nominees. The award recognizes a business, of more than 40 employees, that has demonstrated success and innovation over the years and especially within the past year and a member in good standing with the Southaven Chamber of Commerce.
On hand to accept the award were Director of Business Operations MaKinzie Foos, Coordinator of Ticket Sales and Service Abi Morton and Account Executives Tyler Breneisen, Corey Elliott and Norman O’Neal.
The Memphis Hustle completed its inaugural season as the NBA G League affiliate of the Memphis Grizzlies in 2017-18 and enters its second season playing its home games at Landers Center in Southaven. The team finished with a 21-29 record in its first campaign and had two players, Omari Johnson and Marquis Teague¸ receive call-ups from the Memphis Grizzlies.
