Memphis Hustle shutout Texas Legends in Elam Ending overtime win, close out two-game Series with 120–113 victory

Southaven, Miss. – The Memphis Hustle, the NBA G League affiliate of the Memphis Grizzlies, defeated the Texas Legends 120-113 in overtime on Wednesday in the second game of a back-to-back series at Landers Center. 

The Hustle forced overtime after a game-tying 3-pointer from Dakota Mathias with 15.7 seconds left in regulation, 113-113. After Memphis scored consecutive baskets to open the Elam Ending OT period, Mathias knocked down another 3-pointer to win the game, 120-113.

Matthew Hurt led seven Hustle players in double figures for the second night in a row with 22 points and six rebounds off the bench. Justin Bean posted his second double-double of the season with 17 points and 14 rebounds, while Mathias and EJ Onu added 16 points each. Terrell Brown Jr. posted 13 points and five assists off the bench in his second game of the season. All nine Hustle players who entered the game scored at least eight points.

Grant Riller led the Legends with 32 points and seven rebounds. Tyler Hall followed with 19 points and six rebounds, while Mouhamadou Gueye posted 13 points and six rebounds off the bench. Yudai Baba and Tra-Deon Hollins both added 12 points.

Texas led 100-95 with 8:01 remaining in regulation, but Memphis went on an 8-2 run over the next two minutes to take a one-point lead. Neither team led by more than one possession over the final 7:55 of the fourth quarter.

The Hustle will play the Austin Spurs at H-E-B Center in Cedar Park, Tex. on Friday, Dec. 2, at 7:30 p.m. CT.
