HUSTE DEFEAT IGNITE BEHIND STRONG SECOND HALF

Memphis, Tenn. – The Memphis Hustle (7-7), the NBA G League affiliate of the Memphis Grizzlies, defeated the G League Ignite (1-16) 125-105 to win their second game in a row. 

Cameron McGriff led the Hustle scoring 28 points and eight rebounds. Adonis Arms tallied 23 points and three steals. DeJon Jarreaufinished with 20 points, 11 assists and eight rebounds. Davon Reed totaled a season-high 18 points. 

Tyler Smith paced the Ignite with 22 points off the bench. John Jenkins scored all 19 points in the first half. Izan Almansa added 17 points. Babacar Sane finished with 15 points and 11 rebounds. 

After trailing by as many as eight, the Hustle used a 21-10 second half run to take an 11-point lead early in the fourth quarter. The Hustle led by as many as 20 points in the final frame, outscoring the Ignite 63-38 in the second half.

Memphis outscored the Ignite 52-40 in the paint. The Hustle outrebounded the Ignite 44-38, scoring 20 second chance points. Memphis also scored 26 points off turnovers. 

The Hustle and Ignite will play again tomorrow, Feb. 4, at 5 p.m. CT to wrap up the back-to-back set at Landers Center.
