Hustle come back to defeat Spurs 117-108, sweep series

The Memphis Hustle (5-6), the NBA G League affiliate of the Memphis Grizzlies, overcame a 20-point deficit to defeat the Austin Spurs (5-5) 117-108 to sweep the two-game series in Texas.
DeJon Jarreau notched his first career triple-double, totaling career highs with 30 points and 15 rebounds while adding 10 assists to lead the Hustle. Adonis Arms added 20 points off the bench. David Johnson scored 19 points. Loudon Love contributed 16 points and seven rebounds. Timmy Allen finished with 16 points, and Matthew Hurt tallied 10 points and eight rebounds.
David Duke Jr., on a two-way transfer, led the Spurs with 25 points and seven rebounds. RaiQuan Gray scored 18 points. Erik Stevenson contributed 17 points and seven rebounds. Javante McCoy added 11 points off the bench. Kaleb Johnson and Sir’Jabari Rice each tallied 10 points.
After trailing 74-54 midway through the third quarter, the Hustle used a 23-7 run to tie the game at 97 with 6:34 left in the game. The Hustle closed the game on a 20-11 run to pull away for the win.
Memphis outscored Austin 40-18 in the fourth quarter and shot 68.4 percent from the field (13-of-19 FG) while forcing the Spurs to miss 20 of their 23 shot attempts.
The Hustle scored 33 points off 19 Austin turnovers and limited the Spurs to 25 percent from beyond the arc.
The Hustle will return to Landers Center looking to extend their winning streak to four games as they host the Santa Cruz Warriors on Saturday, Jan. 27, at 7 p.m. CT.
