Hustle Conclude Home Stand with Loss to Rio Grande Valley

Memphis, Tenn. – The Memphis Hustle (3-5), the NBA G League affiliate of the Memphis Grizzlies, were defeated 110-107 by the Rio Grande Valley Vipers (3-2) to conclude a four-game home stand at Landers Center.
Tyler Burton paced the Hustle with 25 points and nine rebounds. Evan Gilyard totaled 24 points. DeJon Jarreau added 20 points and six rebounds off the bench. Charlie Brown Jr. scored 15 points.
Daishen Nix led Rio Grande Valley with 34 points and eight rebounds. Isaiah Crawford contributed 25 points and seven rebounds. Kevon Harris contributed 14 points.
After trailing by 22 at halftime, Memphis outscored the Vipers 40-23 in the third quarter, including a 13-0 run, to take an 84-83 lead into the final frame. Memphis led 106-105 with 1:40 remaining following a Gilyard 3-pointer. The Vipers responded with four straight points from Nix to pull away with the win.
Memphis scored 24 points off turnovers. The Hustle scored 48 points in the paint. The Vipers scored 21 points off turnovers and 13 second chance points.
The Hustle tip-off a three-game road trip starting against the Oklahoma City Blue on Tuesday, Nov. 25, at 7 p.m. CT at Paycom Center.
