Hustle drop matchup against Sioux Falls, 121-107

The Memphis Hustle (12-18), the NBA G League affiliate of the Memphis Grizzlies, were defeated 121-107 by the Sioux Falls Skyforce (20-10). Sioux Falls won the two-game season series.

Davon Reed led the Hustle with 21 points and seven assists. Michael Devoe added 19 points. Matthew Hurt and Adonis Arms both contributed 16 points Lucas Williamson added 13 points off the bench, and Loudon Love totaled eight rebounds and four steals. 

Josh Christopher scored a career-high 40 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Skyforce. Orlando Robinson added 25 points and 12 rebounds. Olin Carter III totaled 22 points. Caleb Daniels and Alondes Williams each scored 13 points.

Sioux Falls opened the game on a 17-4 run and led by as many as 21 in the third quarter. Memphis fought back to cut the deficit to 87-81 with 11:03 remaining in the game, but the Skyforce responded with a 17-2 run to push the lead back to as many as 22 in the closing minutes.

Sioux Falls shot 58.2 percent from the field and 40.5 percent from beyond the arc. The Skyforce scored 24 points off turnovers. Memphis assisted on 30 of 41 field goals and limited the Skyforce bench to eight points. 

The Hustle will host the Cleveland Charge on Thursday, March 21, at 7 p.m. at Landers Center as their five-game home stand continues.
