Hustle fall to Magic in Osceola

Memphis, Tenn. – The Memphis Hustle (3-7) fell on the road to the Osceola Magic (6-3) 115-98 in the final matchup between the two teams in the Showcase Cup.

Two-way transfer GG Jackson II notched his second double-double of the season with 24 points and 11 rebounds to go with three steals. David Johnson added 22 points off the bench. Cameron McGriff scored 15 points. Timmy Allen contributed 14 points and 11 rebounds to secure his second double-double of the season. Loudon Love tallied 14 points and eight rebounds.  

Mac McClung led the Magic with 28 points and seven rebounds. Daeqwon Plowden added 25 points. Trevelin Queen scored 20 points, 11 rebounds and six assists. Miye Oni contributed 17 points.  

The Magic started the game on a 32-8 run. The Hustle trailed by 10 at halftime, but Osceola built its lead back over 20 in the third quarter and led by as many as 30 points in the second half.  

The Magic scored 25 second chance points and 19 points off turnovers. Memphis shot 34.6 percent from the field and 32.6 percent from beyond the arc.  

The Hustle’s road trip concludes as they travel to Frisco to take on the Texas Legends at 7:30 p.m. CT Saturday, Dec. 2.
