Hustle lose to Spurs 130–101

Memphis, Tenn. – The Memphis Hustle (3-6) were defeated by the Austin Spurs (3-4) 130-101 behind Javante McCoy’s triple-double.

Two-way transfer GG Jackson II led the Hustle scoring 24 points and eight rebounds. Timmy Allen added 14 points and eight rebounds off the bench. Mychal Mulder and Cameron McGriff each tallied 13 points. Jason Preston finished with a season-high 14 assists. Lucas Williamson contributed 12 points. 

McCoy tallied 22 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Dominick Barlow scored a game-high 28 points, and Erik Stevenson added 20 points. On assignment from the Spurs, Blake Wesley contributed 14 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. Luke Advalovic finished with 14 points off the bench.

The first half featured 16 lead changes and 10 ties before the Spurs entered the break with a four-point lead. Austin opened the second half with a 23-8 run to push their lead to double-digits. The Spurs outscored the Hustle 45-24 in the fourth quarter, ending the game with their largest lead of the night.

Memphis shot just 23.7 percent from beyond the arc and gave up 18 offensive rebounds. The Hustle assisted on 29 of 39 made field goals. 

The Hustle travel to Kissimmee, Fla., to face off against the Osceola Magic at Silver Spurs Arena on Thursday, Nov. 30, at 6 p.m. CT.
