Hustle win streak snapped in loss to Skyforce

Memphis, Tenn. – The Memphis Hustle (23-8), the NBA G League affiliate of the Memphis Grizzlies, had their three-game winning streak snapped 119-105 against the Sioux Falls Skyforce (19-12) Friday in Sioux Falls
On assignment from the Grizzlies, Jake LaRavia paced the Hustle with 25 points. Dakota Mathias chipped in 23 points. Darnell Cowart contributed 15 points and five rebounds off the bench, and Damien Jefferson tallied 12 points and seven rebounds. Jacob Gilyard dished out 11 assists.
Gilyard picked up his 85th steal of the season, setting a new single-season franchise record for steals, surpassing Shaq Buchanan’s 84 from last season.
DJ Stewart (22 points, 10 rebounds), Orlando Robinson (14 points, 10 rebounds) and Jamal Cain (13 points, 10 rebounds) all posted double-doubles for Sioux Falls. Jamaree Bouyea added 21 points and seven assists for the Skyforce, who had seven players score in double figures.
Sioux Falls started the game on a 24-4 run to take a 20-point lead in the first quarter. The Hustle went on a 15-0 run in the second quarter to cut the lead down to seven points. The Skyforce went on a 9-4 run to rebuild a 20-point lead in the third quarter. The Skyforce led by as many as 24 in the fourth quarter.
The Hustle had 31 assists on 35 made field goals and forced 22 Sioux Falls turnovers.
Memphis will conclude the regular season with a rematch against the Skyforce tonight, March 25, at 7 p.m. CT.
