Memphis Hustle announce 2021 regular season schedule

Memphis, Tenn. – The Memphis Hustle will begin the 2021 NBA G League season on Wednesday, Feb. 10, against the Austin Spurs, the NBA G League announced today. Memphis is one of 18 teams, including 17 NBA G League teams and G League Ignite, which will take to the court in February at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando, Fla.
Earlier this month, the NBA G League announced that players, coaches, team and league staff will live on the NBA G League’s single-site campus at Walt Disney World Resort, and will be guided by comprehensive league-wide health and safety protocols, which are based on the core principles of social distancing, mask wearing, hand hygiene and COVID-19 testing. Under the competitive format for the single-site season, the 18 participating teams will play 15 regular season games with the top eight teams advancing to a single-elimination playoff.
Notably, the Hustle will have back-to-back games broadcasted nationally on ESPN2, including a matchup against Jalen Green and G League Ignite on Wednesday, Feb. 24, at 2 p.m. inside AdventHealth Arena. Memphis will conclude the back-to-back on ESPN2 with a showdown against Dusty Hannahs and the Santa Cruz Warriors on Thursday, Feb. 25, at 2 p.m.
The other 13 of the Memphis Hustle’s 15 regular season games, including the season opener vs. the Austin Spurs at 10:30 a.m. on Feb. 10 will livestream on grindcitymedia.com. All livestreams will feature a pregame, halftime and postgame show hosted by Grind City Media’s Jon Roser & Kelcey Wright Johnson. The Hustle pregame shows will begin 10 minutes prior to tip-off on grindcitymedia.com.
Memphis’ 2021 regular season schedule features eight ‘home’ games, seven ‘road’ games and five sets of back-to-back games. The Hustle’s schedule will feature six games against Western Conference opponents and eight games against Eastern Conference opponents, which is the most interconference matchups since the 2018-19 season, and includes a matchup against No. 1 overall pick in the 2020-21 NBA G League Draft Admiral Schofield and the Greensboro Swarm on Friday, Feb. 19, at 2 p.m. Memphis will conclude their 15-game regular season with a matchup against the Delaware Blue Coats on Saturday, Mar. 6 at 2 p.m.
