Memphis Hustle announce 2021 roster

Memphis, Tenn. — The Memphis Hustle, the NBA G League affiliate of the Memphis Grizzlies, has finalized its roster for the 2021 NBA G League season, the team announced today.
The Hustle roster includes returning players Shaq Buchanan and Ahmad Caver. The team’s four affiliate players are Bennie Boatwright, Zhaire Smith, Jahlil Tripp and Christian Vital. The returning player rights to David Stockton were acquired by Memphis in a trade with the South Bay Lakers on December 31, 2020. In exchange the Lakers received the returning player rights to Dusty Hannahs. Darnell Cowart joins Memphis as a local tryout player after finishing his collegiate career at Murray State.
In addition, 2021 NBA G League draftees Freddie Gillespie (2nd overall) and Anthony Cowan Jr. (16th overall) join the Hustle. The Memphis Hustle roster now stands at 11, including two-way players Sean McDermott. The complete roster can be seen below.
The Memphis Hustle, along with 16 NBA G League teams and G League Ignite will take to the court in February at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando. The top eight teams will advance to a single-elimination playoff.
